Beginning with the ninth season, the cast of "Stargate SG-1" changed to include Ben Browder, who
played the popular John Crichton on "Farscape". Considering the fact that the series was losing the
extremely popular Jack O'Neill, the producers needed someone to deliver some new blood.
While the fans were divided over the cast changes (as usual), the ratings remain strong and the series
continued into a record-setting tenth season during the summer of 2006. Capsule reviews were
written for the ninth season. New reviews and commentary for the tenth season and the subsequent
direct-to-DVD movies will be covered on the Stargate SG-1 Review Blog, starting in July 2006.
