Taking a page from the "24" playbook, "Prison Break" was a new twist on the high-octane, logic-defying
serial, right down to the requisite cliffhangers, heroes, and villains. Thankfully, there was also an
interesting psychological subtext, which added a special element to the series.
Reviews began with the first season episodes that aired in the fall of 2005. Reviews and commentary
were posted to the Prison Break Review Blog beginning with the second season in August 2006. The
show recently concluded its fourth and final season in the spring of 2009.
