vampires living in the modern world. This incarnation of the popular myth underwent a number of
production-related changes since the original network presentation, but the intention was still to create
a televised version of the current "paranormal romance" genre. Unfortunately, the series could not
overcome low ratings and the effects of the 2008 WGA strike.
