(Written March-April 2001.) Taking place between "Badlaa" and "The Gift", Agents Doggett and Scully finally get a possible lead regarding the fate of Agent Mulder. Doggett returns to his old stomping grounds in New York City to investigate, while Scully remains in Washington to deal with complications involving her pregnancy.
